Hi Taurus, You are most welcome. The SOROS articles were first posted ca. 9th Sept'97 by two individuals, one of them posted Part 1 and the other Part 2. The articles were so interesting to me that I copied them on to Wordpad and saved them. To be sure, the Jews never had an easy time since the start of this millennium. Before that they had intermittent periods of glory, especially under Solomon (or so history tells us). "There is no smoke without a fire." However, whether the Jews are guilty of any of the evils ascribed to them is something I would rather hold in suspended judgement. As a science man, I tend to hold tentative conclusions (subject to change in the light of new evidence) about many things and peoples. I agree that the press is rather biased. It seems to me the press in N. America tends to be pro-government and therefore tends to feed you with government propaganda. Apparently the press is putting into practice what Goebbels (Hitler's gifted propagandist) found to be highly effective before and during World War II: Tell a big lie and tell it often enough, and the people are likely to swallow it--- hook, line and sinker! So keep on telling the people that gold is in its death throes and soon every man in the street will believe gold is a goner --- dead! And then, lo and behold, a new era dawns. With no more lingering fear of gold and gold hoarders, the government can now for the first time churn out with impunity (i.e. without fear of days of reckoning to come?) unlimited amounts of "cash" and extend unlimited credit out of thin air. But that scenario may not happen. For one, we have the Y2K problem which could turn out to be a spoiler for the government's well-laid plans. For another, we have three highly celebrated seers, namely, Malachi (a celebrated 11th Century Irish monk), Nostradamus (an astrolger of 15th Century France with an uncannily accurate record) and Edgar Cayce (the late modern day highly documented and accurate American psychic) who all had foretold of gloom and doom for all at the end of this millennium. If they turn out to be right, we are all in the same boat (i.e., spaceship Earth) and just as we came with nothing, we will all depart with nothing. "From ashes to ashes." Sounds grim, eh? But I am still kinda optimistic that all will be well. Cheers!!! Richnorth
