RE: Jaz Failure Rates? Iomega's Answer.

Actually, Iomega has already answered the question several times. HG either doesn't listen or doesn't like the answer.

Here's what they had to say in the 2Q97 conference call about it:

RETURN RATES ON JAZ. The company was asked again about return rates on Zip and Jaz. The company responded that they will stand behind the quality of every product they build. They do not consider Jaz to have abnormal return rates. A lot of the returns are incompatibility issues, and they don't mean just with a particular BIOS, but where an individual's PC may not be equipped to work with the drive or vice versa. They think it is more significant that they now have an installed base of 1 million Jaz drives.

Stock Bull, In my e-mail to HG, I referred to the fact that he did not report having talked to any major retailer or distributor regarding Jaz return issues. Whether he has or not is unknown. I'm certain if he did hear anything negative from the real players, he would have stated so. If he called and received positive responses, then we could easily assume he's just trying to stir things up. If he never called, then he's not researching all the facts. No matter how you look at it, HG is doing a poor job.
