Show me the money. The case for the customer dough. Otherwise, investments are just greater fools' paper.
Tell that to any of the venture capitalists here in Silicon Valley. They seem to like funding start-ups that don't have any customers at the moment, but are instead chasing after the potential customers.

To you, they must be handing the "greater fools' paper."
