The average left wing person watches NBC, ABC, NPR and maybe MSNBC and figures they have a well rounded experience, subject to a sufficient diversity of views. I have asked and they argue strongly that these sources are not left leaning. The public perception is that Fox News and talk radio is only for right wing extremists, so they don't listen to it. I ask people to listen to all sides and they tell me they can do that without Fox or talk radio.

In order for the masses leaning left to re-consider the status quo, some event has to take place that causes them some disorientation and forces them to consider alternatives. Waiting for the media to balance their presentations or do serious investigative journalism is a lost cause. I've no idea what that catalyst would be. None of the following have done it:

Obama's flawed bios - nope
Benghazi - nope
IRS - nope ,
email - nope
Spying on AP journalists - nope
Fast and Furious guns - no
New Black Panthers menacing voters - no
The Border - no
The rise of ISIS - no
PP selling baby parts - no
