Glen;

My thoughts.
I can't recall from history any emerging nation or society which
has begun getting a taste of progress, (read strong and growing
energy consumption rates) and then allowed a setback such as
SEA's financial woes to permanently stifle their efforts to part-
icipate in the benefits of modern life. The troubles facing SEAsian
economies won't be solved in the blink of an eye or by some simple
declaration of policy by their ruling bodies, but the pressure
to find and implement a solution will be sizable. From within,
where a rising middle class must be very unwilling to lose gains
they've acquired of late, to ruling bodies who must realize that
defense of the status quo can only be stepping on their own body
parts. More pressure toward the same solutions (and aid in their
implementation) will come from outside nations and industries who
have billions to lose from the collapse of such large and rapidly
growing trading partners.
How long till this is accomplished? All I've got here is that I'm
glad I'm trying to be a buy-and-hold guy, as opposed to a light-
footed trader.
Petroleum-based fuels will not be going away for awhile, so I think
I'll just sit on my DRQ-FLC-GW-MIND beach and watch the Market's
waves lap the shore for awhile...

Have a GREAT SOLSTICE!!
