Bob,

Sorry again! It was a typo, but $1 billion in 2000 impresses me.

Good article in today's paper entitled "More buyers online than in line" by Chris Allbritton of the Associated Press. Starts: "This holiday season marks the first time ordinary people, not Net-savvy gearheads, are shopping on the World Wide Web, cementing 1997 as the year the Internet went mainstream."

November issue of PCMagazine's top 100 sites included the following commercial sites:

1-800-Flowers -- (www.1800flowers.com)
Amazon.com -- (www.amazon.com)
American Greetings -- www.americangreetings.com
autoweb.com -- (www.autoweb.com)
Bloomingdale's -- (www.bloomingdales.com)
Classifieds 2000 -- (www.classifieds2000.com)
E*Trade -- (www.ETrade.com)

Curious.

The days required to cover has been dropping steadily for AMZN during the last few months.

In august it would have taken 10.41 days to cover, by end of November the days to cover had dropped to 4.81.

Of course most of this is due to the fact that the volume has increased by 4 times during the same amount of time.

Seems to me that the relative bearishness on Amazon.com is eroding. Not sure what that means either and I am very comfortable with my short. Would appreciate any wisdom in interpreting these figures.
