So ObamaCare is now projected to cost less than CBO estimates. Remember all those whiny R hacks - many here on SI - who claimed the CBO estimates were way off - on the low side? I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for them to admit they were wrong.

That post was the biggest crock of shit I've ever seen. Really. This is some punk kid blogger for the Washington Post.

And just so you don't think I'm unreasonable about it, here are the facts:

The original 2015 baseline cost of Obamacare (ten years) was $1.33 trillion. And it is true, that has been cut now to 1.2 Trillion. GOOD NEWS!

EXCEPT:

The original number of people covered under ACA provisions was 32 Million (16 Million Medicare, 16 Million partially subsidized commercial).

And here's the hammer: The March 2015 estimates are that instead of 32 Million, there will be 24.5 Million, a reduction of 23.4% in the number of people covered. Unfortunately, they are mostly Medicaids (fully subsidized).

So, we got an 11% reduction in cost and a 23.4% reduction in covereds. Further, that doesn't count the money the states will be chipping in after next year.

Let Al, the expert, tell you how great that is. This is why we laugh at liberal idiots. One more soaking.

I don't know what the future holds but premiums have been going much slower under Obamacare than they were before Obamacare.

Poppycock.

Obamacare’s projected cost falls due to lower premiums under health care law, CBO says

Is it your position that RMF (and other people here) are lying and the premiums and deductibles are not going up? I wonder if appointment wait times have also gone up?
