Obama's Fave New Book Attacks 9/11 Cops and Firefighters as "Not Human"

Terrible person has terrible reading list
August 13, 2015
Daniel Greenfield

The White House has released a bunch of books Obama will be pretending to read in between golfing and schmoozing CEOs and hedge fund managers on his billionth vacation. It's full of the sort of terrible books that New York Times subscribers want to be seen pretending to read.

There's a Global Warming tract, The Sixth Extinction, by Elizabeth Kolbert, and Ta-Nehisi Coates' ridiculously racist rant, Between The World and Me.

I reviewed Between The World and Me earlier. Here are a few highlights of a book with more crazy racism than The Turner Diaries or Louie Farrakhan's "A Mad Scientist from Space Created White People".

Coates insists on his vulnerability to spew hatred as he writes that the police officers and firefighters who died on September 11 “were not human to me. Black, white, or whatever, they were menaces of nature; they were the fire, the comet, the storm, which could — with no justification — shatter my body.”

This passage was so toxic that even the liberal reviewers praising Coates had to find excuses for him.

The New York Times' hack reviewer Michiko Kakutani tried to claim that it's not meant "to convey a contempt for the first responders on Sept. 11."

Apparently Ta-Nehisi Coates calls people "not human" as a sign of affection.

[iframe name="aswift_0" width="804" height="90" id="aswift_0" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" vspace="0" hspace="0" allowfullscreen="true" style="left: 0px; top: 0px; position: absolute;" allowtransparency="true"][/iframe]

This is supposed to be justified because a black cop shot a pal of his. White supremacy, you know.

But this is a book filled with Coates' deranged hatred for white people.

Any interaction between Coates and a white person becomes invested with racial tension. A white woman pushes his son on an elevator and to Coates; it’s a case of her invoking her “right over the body of my son.” “Between the World and Me” is a fountain of such pseudo-Marxist legalisms in which “black bodies” are the engines of commerce and culture on which a vast evil white conspiracy squats.

The world of “Between the World and Me” is a cramped place in which white people are forever spindling, exploiting and mutilating black bodies whether it’s through slavery or elevator pushing. White people have oppressed Ta-Nehisi Coates in every literal and metaphorical sense possible, before moving on to oppressing his son and his descendants after him until the sun finally explodes and the earth dies.

So you can see why this entitled whining bigotry is right up Obama's entitled whiny racist alley.

But Obama and Dems pushing this toxic racist garbage should be challenged on promoting a racist book that describes the NYPD and FDNY heroes who died trying to save people as "not human".

Obama and anyone who promotes this garbage should skip pretending to "honor" the heroes of September 11. You can't do both.
