Mr Guru's "brains" are what are being called into question

Only time will tell. At least he had the courage to state his position. I wouldn't have made the same choice as I think bankruptcy is inevitable, and has been since the early 2000s. It's been a very slow spiral downward but inevitable unless someone buys them. The fact that no one has speaks volumes.

Upon a change of control (not the result of bankruptcy), the x-license is void for both parties. Both parties must renegotiate it. Obviously Intel has every reason to maintain the agreement to hold on to their x86-64 license, but what does AMD care? Why wouldn't someone like Icahn or Soros buy AMD for peanuts then hold a gun to Intel's head for the x86-64 licenses? Is AMD required to negotiate in good faith? They've never done anything in good faith in their corporate history.

I'd buy them out but I don't have quite enough money. Maybe if they drop another $1.80 or so?
