“I thought Sanger's Utopia was supposed to materialize when contraception was made widely available?"

Utopias don't generally materialise. Sorry...

It is however getting closer. Billions of children are no longer being born only to starve to death. While about 30,000 children STARVE TO DEATH every day, billions are not born to the same fate thanks to contraception. The ideal is that every child should be wanted and loved. Every child should be assured of parental care. Every mother and father should have the resources to care for a child. Having a penis and a womb is insufficient proxy for parenthood.
