Have been long WDC and plan to be again, just don't know quite when. Too many questions and not enough answers right now. I do believe the asian crisis will work itself out like our savings and loan crisis of 10 years ago or the energy and inflation crunch of 73. The big question is whether the technology will shift in the interim and will wdc or seg be there with the right answers. would like to hear opinions on this.

Thomas, good idea on the Asian forum. I had the same opinion about WDC as you. I am in at an average of ~$25. However, I don't see a turnaround for at least 6 months.

This is the way I think about it--Even if I didn't have WDC, would I still want to buy it. The answer right now is no, and that is why I am selling. To me, there are better places to put my money for the next year or so.

Brian

Thomas,

See any more downside from this level?

Thomas,

I wonder if you could take a minute to let us know why you like W-D? Is it to the exclusion of Seagate and/or Quantum? I am concerned about several things with W-D. Lack of a head capability is one. Late on the curve to convert to MR is another. I would really welcome other views.
Best,
Stitch
