I have to wonder if the Operating Margin number, -0.61%, in your chart represents TCPI's actual Operating Margin, based on the Definition of that ratio as in ....



If we look at TCPI's latest June Quarterly below ...




... to get the -0.61% in the chart we would have to carry out the following calculation :-

((111249 - (85532+22500+3900))/111249) x 100 = -0.61%.

However, the way I see it "Litigation settlements" is not part of "variable costs of production such as wages (SG&A), raw materials (COGS), etc ", but rather something that does not happen as a regular ongoing expense to run the company.

IMO, despite the description "Operating (loss) income" in the SEC filing, the Operating Margin for TCPI is :- ((111249 - (85532+22500))/111249) x 100 = +2.89%.
