there was only ONE decent thunderstorm. I could not believe how freaked out all the CA natives I worked with were!

Thirty one years ago I moved out here in July and the next month we had a great thunderstorm overnight. I thought nothing of it but that was all people discussed the next day in the office. If we had real thunderstorms here the Valley would be washed away.

All the time I lived in CA, there was only ONE decent thunderstorm. I could not believe how freaked out all the CA natives I worked with were!

T-storm started around 3 AM.....woke me right up. No rain but lots of rumbling and lightning. At 6:30 AM, I want to the bathroom. There is a plum tree near by bathroom window. I watched as 5 raccoons came out of the tree. They must have climbed the tree out of fear. lol

All day today the dogs in the neighborhood have been howling on and offf. They don't have much experience with T-storms so I am sure they are freaked out.

Meanwhile we have had a quarter of inch of rain since April. So today's rain will do us good.
