I still have a hard time thinking a self-described socialist can survive 6 months and $1B in ads by the R's.I wish he had originally registered himself as the the Ind. New Deal Dem Party, instead of Dem Socialist. I have a hard time believing I'm the Silent Majority. Bernie reminds me of the old fart socialists who were hanging out with all the college kids at the anti-war marches, except now I'm looking from the perspective of one of the old farts. I just have a hard time believing the majority now think like me. The last time we ran a real progressive, we got creamed, and the candidate was a genuine Methodist war hero, not a Jewish anti-war socialist from Brooklyn. We won San Francisco, and my office, (SSF, Daly City, and Brisbane), but lost all of San Mateo Co. by 10 points, and Mendocino by 8.
