I want both regressive taxes like a flat tax and I want a close of the loop holes on income taxes so it becomes more progressive. This issue has slipped into the two extreme ideological camps and so NOTHING ever gets addressed. All energy should be taxed more - regressive, but all those socialized countries tax the shit out of it - so should we! That would be the best way to combat GW. I think all income should be treated the same (oh, ya, I have exceptions) soooooo we tax money made on investments as ordinary income. And one more item I would like to see addressed passionately by a candidate is our jailed populations. The idea we lock up people for victimless crimes is idiotic. Stop wasting that money! Give these people the medical help they need and stop the insanity of locking them all up - especially the minorities.
