They were hoping no one would notice???? The mine was in Colorado, not Texas...... However, the actual chemical compound imparting the color has not been published.......I have my own ideas, but there are several compounds that would produce a yellow or orange color in solution......... For example, we have wells around her that have high iron concentrations that will give the water the color of beer...... save but not very appealing.....one of the wells that serviced us was of that type........... use for laundary, it discolored the clothes and the interior walls of dishwashers...... Was simply an iron oxide easily removable.........
