Marcie:

This is a fairly high entry point. Profit growth looks to be exceptional over the next few years, but p/e is high. My clients and I got in over 2 years ago, buying Ciba-Geigy before the merger. Our basis is in the high 30's. The most I have paid for new clients in recent memory is 70. At its current price, it may be undervalued based on future growth and vs. its peers, but it is not undervalued in the strict sense of the term. Swiss market is extremely volatile so NVTSY moves around quite a bit. I bet you can get it cheaper with a little patience. Good luck!

P.S. You appear to be a long term investor by your previous posts--look into Loral(NYSE:LOR)here on the SI boards and the myriad of places that board will direct you and you will like it I am sure.

Hi, why not look on the web, where Novartis has a home page under Novartis.com. Try it. I spoke at length to Wolfgang Kirchmayr, the guy responsible for investor relations in Switzerland or Europe. But you will also see an addresse for people in USA. try it. yours for a merry Christmas, Fred Post
