Sorry but its NOT true that the civil rights movement targeted religious liberty. Nor was support for segregation normally stated as being based on religion ... to the contrary, the civil rights movement itself was partially based on religion. The civil rights movement was NOT a secular movement. MLK's organization was the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Black churches were central to the civil rights movement, hymns accompanied civil rights demontrations. And it's appeal was based on the brotherhood of men, a Christian concept.

The majority of Americans don't like the Christian version of Sharia law,

You're lying about Christianity being just like sharia law. And you're also wrong about the views of the majority of Americans - 82% of Americans side with religious liberty over gay rights.

and are ever more comfortable with LBGTQ as full adult citizens. Gender is not always binary and mature adults now understand this.

I've observed that liberals who pretend to be "comfortable with LBG.. whatever as full adult citizens" are particularly quick to throw insulting insinuations of being LGBTQ against people they argue with. Here's an example:

And let's be fair- 200+ years of white guys, with nothing else, was pretty damn boring and exclusionary. So his being black really helped. I happen to think having a vagina will help Hillary. Unless the reps can really get Carly in there (which, given her background, would be horrible for them- more power to them)- I think the vagina excitement should not be underestimated. Steve may not care about vaginas. Hard to tell...

But the women I know are excited about a woman president. They might not tell you, if you had a penis, because this might be a girls club secret- but we'd like a woman for a change. We've seen how badly guys can fuck up the free world- now it's our turn.

Let's be honest, that comment, "Steve may not care about vaginas. Hard to tell ..", WAS a gratuitous insult that the fellow may be gay. Now why would someone who is truly "comfortable with LBG ..." do that?
