GR-V Great Atlantic Begins Field Work at Porcupine Base Metal – Rare Earth Element Project
___________________________________________________________________

FOCUSED ON EXPLORING ATLANTIC CANADA

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – August 25, 2015 – GREAT ATLANTIC RESOURCES CORP. ( TSXV.GR) (the “Company” or “Great Atlantic”) is pleased to announce it has commenced field work at its Porcupine Base Metal – Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, located in east-central New Brunswick. The Porcupine Project is located approximately 50 kilometres west of the city of Miramichi and covers an area of approximately 2245 hectares. Great Atlantic has the option to acquire 100% interest in the property from two prospectors, subject to a 2% NSR.

Great Atlantic has commenced a program of soil sampling and prospecting in multiple target areas within the Porcupine Project. Great Atlantic had previously discovered base metal mineralization within a trench in the northwest region of the project, in an area of base metal soil and Induced Polarization (IP) anomalies. One of the 2012 trenches in this area exposed a mineralized shear zone. A one metre channel sample across this zone returned 54800 ppm (5.48%) Zn and 1.08% Pb (Great Atlantic News Release of November 28, 2012). The current exploration program will investigate target areas south, southeast to east of the 2012 trenches.

One area of current soil sampling and prospecting is the north-central to eastern region of the property, approximately 2 to 2.5 kilometres southeast of the mineralized shear zone discussed previously. The 2012 IP survey by Great Atlantic also identified IP anomalies is this region. Soil sampling and prospecting is also being conducted in the southern region of the property. Frank Ross and Ole Kristiansen (option partners with Great Atlantic at Porcupine) reported base metal and gold bearing boulders and REE soil anomalies in 2004-2008 near the access road in this region of the property. Reported boulder samples in this area include 10800 ppm (1.08%) Zn and 970 ppb Au; and 1.41 g/t Au (reported as siliceous breccia).

The objective of the current Great Atlantic program is to define targets for trenching and diamond drilling.
