Greg:

Can you comment on the recommendation by Kaiser listed below - particularly the status of the financing. Excuse me if I missed it in a previous post. Thanks.

Kaiser says potential war chest of US$20 million a buy signal

John Kaiser, writing in the December 1 Kaiser Bottom-Fishing Report, says
Yamana Resources is a buy at $0.74; Mr Kaiser also has named the company to
his 100 bottom-fish recommendations for 1998. Yamana has always thought big,
and today is little different than the past. The company has raised nearly $45
million since its launch in 1995, most of which has been spent on assembling a
portfolio of 99 properties around the world. In the absence of a major discover,
Vic Bradley has decided to float a US$20 million debenture that will leave
Yamana with a war chest of $40 million to get some results from his
6.3-million-acre portfolio. The offering goes to the public in December 1997, and
Mr Kaiser believes Yamana will be a "better buy than ever if the debenture
closes." This form of financing means the company will not get killed if funding
dries up completely in the current bear market.
