Hank:

Japan probably will not go below 15000 and it is in the world markets
interest to see that asian crisis will not drag on for ever. IMF and
other financial institutions are lending money to those 3 or four troubled countries in the asian region. China, India, Tiwan and other
countries like singapore are strong and they will be fine.

S&P Globex index does not mean much as there is still almost 10hrs for our markets to open. As everyone seen previously, it has reversed itself before the us markets and european markets open.

I must give you credit for being longest bear on this thread (consistently) since aug/sept. I enjoy your postings and I guess you have lot of patience to write those 20-25 postings every day!! But I hope soon you will go long like us. There are other stocks that are ripe for short llike AOL etc. But I don't see you there!!

Regards,

vip

<<since most experts are still calling for a good 1998!>>

Strange isn't it. We will see. If we do not get the santa rally, then the jan. rise will be small. I too was hoping to sell into the rise I, but the bounces seem to be getting smaller and shorter.
