That is the for profit insurers charging for either supplemental coverage or an HMO in conjunction with your Medicare The basic Medicare fees did not change ..the answer is to simply eliminate the for profit insurance industry who provide nothing in terms of actual healthcare delivery and realize their profits by metering out your access to healthcare providers, with every penny of premiums that they don't payout dropping to their bottom line ..it is truly money for nothing, but since they have lobbyists and idiots for voters, we cannot get socialized medicine like the rest of the civilized industrial world..
