and it isn't as much a matter of trusting the Iranians as it is common sense..if they were ever to touch off a nuke, aimed at anybody, their country would be a smoldering hole within a couple of hours.
a) The notion of "mutually-assured destruction" assumes that the other side is thinking logically.

b) Iran doesn't need to set off a nuke. All they need to do is get one and announce to the world that they have it (while thanking Obama at the same time). That will increase their influence in the Middle East, which will make any freedom-loving ally of ours VERY nervous.

c) As a liberal, why do you even pretend that you are trying to prevent Iran from getting a nuke, if you really them getting a nuke is of no consequence?
