Ted, highlighting the limits of American power can be done without going toward the other extreme.

No one has gone to the extreme except in the fertile imagination of the GOP........a party btw that is not that far off from the likes of Putin and ISIS. The GOP will never admit but it struggles with the concept of democracy.

Anyway, you're right about North Korea being completely unpredictable. Even with everything I said, there's no telling what North Korea might do or what their rationale might be.

One thing is for sure, however. The worst mistake anyone can make in dealing with them is underestimating their cunning.


True. But remember they are a nothing nation that is propped up by China. And right now China can't afford to have NK act out too much.

What we should do is get with China and agree to remove this source of instability in the region, NK. Even if China did the ruling in N. Korea from now on. I think they'd go for that.
