That report (disappointment) is flawed. The event had to be moved from the Motel ballroom where it had been scheduled because there was so much interest. They moved it to a 40k capacity stadium but there is no indication they expected to fill that venue. Personally, I'd like to see Trump brought down by a genuine conservative.
