But there were people standing on the field so it sounds correct. Whatever, the crowd is downright amazing for a primary field with 15 people in it. Trump has essentially eclipsed the entire field. Fiorina, who should be in there, totally absent from the scene. All the major players, absent. Cruz, Bush (almost absent), all the rest of them. What is really striking is how much better Trump is getting at this, and how quickly it is happening. And how quickly people who were saying, "No way I'd vote for him" are now saying, "Damn, I may need to re-think this."

CNN The event was previously planned to be held at the nearby Civic Center but was moved to the 43,000-seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium -- a venue normally home to high school football games -- to accommodate the crowd. The City of Mobile confirmed late Friday that 30,000 people attended.
