I agree with you about this, MZ. Just joking a bit. BTW, Japan is tanking badly as I write, down about 3.7%.

MZ: I am in full agreement with you. I know you tried to bring up the real issues before the ODAC meeting but somehow your voice was over shadowed by over optimism and even "bullsh*t." This is unfortunate for all of us who bought shares, such as myself. So I would say one lesson we have learned here on Depo thread is, we must allow everybody to speak load and clear, no matter how contradictory his/her opinion may be different from ours.

MZ, you could have saved many of us, but again, it's just unfortunate and disatrous.

For the record, I have closed my book on Depo today while wiped out all of my 1997 profit (Sorry, Uncle Sam).

I do not trust in the management any more, I see their cash value and book value gradually decreasing during the next few months. I see share holder law suit coming out for cherry picking scientific data, misrepresentation, and inside trading. While feeling the management is incompetent, unethical, and even sleek, I don't want to argue for the company any more. Besides, I am suspecting DepoFoam might cause toxic reaction or toxic effect enhancement of certain drugs which the company has not been forth coming.

Do they have a chance of prospering in the future ? Possible, but not without huge struggle and certain luck at the same time. But I just feel like there are much better legitimate investment opportunities out there than waiting for Depo at this junction.

The above is just my opinion only. Other's may differ. You make you own decision re buy, sell, or hold.

Good luck, everybody. It's been a hell of an experience. But life has to go on.

Merry Christmas, and hope everybody will have a better 1998.

mz,
I'm still not sure that the toxicity comparison will be fatal for DepoCyt. Michael King suggested that the adverse comparison might reflect more the increased treatment exposure and the insufficient study or consideration of the ameliorating effects that steroids could have in reducing the arachnoiditis problems. The efficacy data, though considered statistically insignificant, remained suggestive of improvement using DepoCyt compared with the control. If more data can prove the benefit and establish that steroid use can control the side effects, DepoCyt may still have some legs.
At this point, I think all the negatives are in. That suggests more potential for rebound than further drops in price. With a presumably stronger study for leukemia and lymphoma in the works, I think DEPO price should begin to climb on the prospects. We'll see.
