Ian,

Re: And studies done by Malkiel show that investors are not adequately compensated for taking extra risk. (But it's a lot more fun than getting rich slowly in some dull Dow stocks.)

The difficulty, of course, is deciding whether this is a "Malkiel" moment.

I find it interesting, Michael Price, noted value investor, has "touted" General Motors, noted cyclical, operating in an over-capacitied industry.

(I wouldn't find it any less fun to get rich slowly in dull Dow stocks.)
I'm consistently invested in Dogs of the Dow.

Ian,

You call what we've been going through fun??? The roller coaster is nearing the station and I'm ready to puke!<G>

BTW, I would gladly accept the dull performance of the Dull Dows(maybe we should start a new thread"the Dull Dows Deliver") if they acted similar to AT&T over the past 2 mos.

Regards,

Brian
