<Those GeoCity cookies come at you like X-rays though, don't they?>

Lisa~You don't realize how extensively you are bombarded with cookies these days until you set your Netscape up to prompt you for permission prior to allowing a cookie to be imprinted on your hard drive.

I view cookies as an invasion of my privacy, and occasionally ruthlessly track them down in my windows explorer and delete them, but they are probably benign in the main. Who can really say for certain? Maybe Jim C. can weigh in with the implications!?

Anyhow, some requests to set cookies on your drive are very persistent. You may have to cancel them three times before they go away for a while. Irritating. If you accept them, most are on there until year 2002 or something.

GeoCities' are particularly persistent. Everytime I switch categories within your websight, up pops the cookie request two or three more times before they give up temporarily. Guess this is a price of progress and advertising.

Where's Stan?? He probably knows all about cookies!

Regards,

Rick
