Unless you can prove need for self protection, Self-Protection is a basic human need and a right resting at the core of American liberties. We protect ourselves at every level from harassment and assault to material breach. The right to self- protection is the basis for natural law so it follows that society must uphold that right. It is the nature of human beings to hold animus toward one another and to act on that in the absence of societal protections. It is the role of government to protect us against invasion and to keep order but the government has no charge to infringe upon our right to self-protection.

Well, I guess you agree tejek, bentway etc should be disarmed. I assume you don't own any firearms - correct? Has that been true your entire life? Have you ever fired a gun? Coming from the hills of Appalachia that would be pretty rare. Re your desires, considering you live in a NY county that is defying the state's "Safe Act" gun law ( as most NY counties are), how do you ever figure your law could be enforced? You can't even get your own county to enforce a much milder gun law than you support.
