I think this is some new competition for IDX to cope with. These guys make fingerprint digitizing scanners with associated workstation and document image archiving equipment. As far as I can tell, they just do Card scanners.

DBA Systems, Inc. of Melbourne, Florida.... DBA Systems, Inc., a Melbourne, Florida based Defense Imaging, Charting, Geodesy and Electronics firm announced today the award of a $1.4 million commercial order for fingerprint digitizing scanners with associated workstation and document image archiving equipment. The order was received from CBM Archive Company, Corpus Christi, Texas as part of their prime contract to provide the Texas Department of Public Safety a turnkey ANSI/NIST Fingerprint-Criminal History Document Image Archive system. The order marks DBA's continued expansion into the law enforcement fingerprint identification market, with the company's fingerprint scanner systems now having been sold into three of the nations's states: Michigan, Georgia and Texas.
