Doom and gloom, Co. to go broke, blah, blah..... perfect to make some $

Just wondering, why would two successfull biz-men go to such a loser of a co., with a loser for a boss? answer - pure greed (?). Let's hypthosize:

- suck as many bad expenses into the last quarter as possible, drive down the stock price to a point just above any feasible buy-out level.
- fire the old CFO - bring in a new guy with "credibility" and clearly stated phiscal restraint (hey isn't this guy from a brokerage house?)
- bring in a new "corporate" sales VP from a reputable co.
- with the co. in such bad shape, intice these honourable individuals with large qty's of (now very cheap & underpriced) stock options (why else would they go?)
- lay off some "excess" worker-bees and outsource some stuff.
- these two new wiz-kids keep expenses reasonable, sell through product at less than stellar levels, and actually turn a slim profit.
- stock goes back to trading at some reasonable $/sales levels...
- the wiz-kids cach-in and laugh all the way home...
- Copeland smiles big-time as he cashes in too (what-ever his title).
- And if they've got half a brain, give the embattled and dis-credited employess some options too. Wait till you'd see the bail-out if the stock ever got up to $8 again...

Is it time to avaerage-down yet? ;-)

JMHO, what'ya think?

Pete
