We raised our MW 7/1/14. I've lost track of how many months since then the reports have said, "California led the states in job growth". California led the states in job growth, adding 80,700 jobs in July. Texas followed with 31,400 new positions and Florida came in third, with 30,500 new jobs. New Jersey lost the most jobs, down by 13,600 positions, while employment in Louisiana and Kansas declined by 4,500 and 4,300 jobs respectively. ncsl.org

Keynesian policies don't make any sense a lot of the time. Here's another example. What's the best way according to Keynesians to lift consumption? Why, life the minimum wage. So that's exactly what Wal-mart did. And here are the consequences. They were facing an extra billion in wages and decided to cut hours to offset the wage increases. At the end of the day, prices and wages should be set by supply and demand, not through some artificial price control mechanism. Price controls simply lead to a misallocation of capital. You ignore the fact that Walmart has had several quarters of missing revenue and profit projections. It could well be that there are other more serious problems with the company but of course the savior of the 99%.......YOU.......thinks the workers are the problem and are getting paid too much.
