Yes, changing ALL passwords is a huge task. If I were faced with the task, I'd probably be selective, too. However, changing my email password would be right up there with financial sites at the top of the list. My email is where other sites (credit cards, banking) go to verify changes to my accounts.
I think I will change my investment passwords and keep things like email, shopping etc the same
