vireya, deleting cookies will cause web sites to ask for user ID and pw again. But the browser may still have your pw stored [?]

In Firefox you have Saved Passwords. Before you change your passwords, delete your Saved Passwords, as sometime creating a new password and saving it can cause problems.

Saved Passwords are located here, click on Tools, then Options then select Security (Thats if you save your passwords):
