In my opinion, you want to buy a solid company when no one else wants that company!! As you state: "There seems to be so much negative emotion surrounding this stock right now", the more negative sentiments the better in the short term because one gets to buy one of the most solid growth semi companies practically for free! As John Templeton always says: Buy when everyone else is throwing the stock out the window!, and then consider (just consider) selling when everyone else want to get their hands on the stock!

I take the approach that maximal bearishness means a good time to buy----assuming the company's technology is innovative and robust.
