Looks like you can get an HDMI adapter for an iPhone or Galaxy from Amazon.

Mirroring.

I can mirror YouTube videos from my iPad to my New Amazon Firestick and onto the TV over WiFi. Not that big a deal though, as the Firestick has the YouTube app anyway.

Haven't fugured out a way to do it with other apps yet though.

Apple AirPlay lets you do it, but I don't have that.
