Greetings George and all.
Normally the winter road opens mid January, this year people are predicting it will be delayed a couple weeks. The northern barrenland section is already under construction the area between the end of the Ingraham Trail 60km past yellowknife north to the barrens is the section which may cause the delays.
A few companies are planning to start their programs with air support untill the road gets running. Ill try to keep you informed.
George I hope some day you plan to write a book about your perspective on the great North American Diamond Play. Im sure it will be a fascinating read.
Hope everyone has a good Yule tide.
Regards Walt

George, that sounds great, I'll pass you my email address, it's around here somewhere, if not I'll get it from Tomato.

The other night I was looking back over the general history of diamond exploration in the NWT, and found that one of the best links was the recommendation page on the Winspear site;
winspear.com
....the most recent one is the Sudhir Khanna one that Fishman mentions, but they go all the way back to Bishop's Oct 96 write-up. What I was after was a timeline in my head of all the major events, from Fipke getting the notion to explore through Tli Kwi Cho to the present, and it's amazing how much of this info is in those recommendations.

The charts tell a lot of the story, too..... the depths of Nov-Dec and the peaks of April-May, pretty consistent. I've had a few nickels saved up for gold stocks, but think this could be a sucker rally in the POG, and am inclined to go with diamonds with at least half of it, right now anyway -g-

.......... cheers ................. macros

PS .. have you guys seen this thread - "Bet the Ranch" - started by MUDMAN, I wonder if he's any relacion to FISHMAN
