Ken, what kind of tablet/phone do you have?

As a practical matter, I'm not sure how useful the mirroring is, since the streaming devices (Roku, Firestick, etc) have apps like Netflix, Hulu, Prime. I guess if I had downloaded a movie to the iPad and wanted to watch it I could use the mirroring feature. Also, I can use it to view my photos on the TV.

At this point, it's probably best to wait until Wednesday to see if there's any AppleTV news covered at Apple's scheduled event.
