Doug (offtopic) - I have been looking at CC writing more and more for the last 6 months. It seems even more attractive while the market fluctuates. I still have money on trying to hit one out, but I am starting to shift more towards the slow and steady. I haven't had the opportunity to write a call against something that went ballistic yet, but I think I have steeled myself to ignore it. As long as I make my cut, I won't begrudge the lottery winner. Over time, my sales from the tickets should return more on average than the call (ticket) buyers made. I gave my wife a current example of the return last night, and she was incredulous. She thinks it sounds like a scheme or something. As in "If it works that well, why doesn't everybody do it?". My analysis - not sexy enough for the traders, too complicated for rookies, too much churn for buy-hold guys. Hope to take my CSMA zillions and use them largely for that purpose some day.
Regards,
Mike
