Searching Google Drive

Windows 10 did a new update that reset our security changes. This removed the ability to search my files on Google Drive (Windows wants you to put your files on OneDrive) until I searched this forum to find my solution again at Message 30222464
The solution for Search via Windows Explorer not working on Google Drive is at

eightforums.com

Fortunately, the solution is easy and I can again search my files on my brand new Windows 10 PC.
Hello Clive,

I also encountered this problem, but I found a solution. It is not an indexing problem, it's an security problem. Here is what I did to fix this:
1. Go to your Documents folder.
2. Right click the Google Drive Folder, select Properties.
3. Go to the Security tab.
4. Click on the Edit... button.
5. Click on the Add... button.
6. Type in "Users", click Ok, then Ok again, and Ok again. Now try and search, you should be able to now.
It is a good thing we can search our posts here and I could quickly find the solution.
