Except for the 1% "Stagnant wages have occurred in almost all segments, it's far from exclusive to minimum wage workers" Poverty exists worldwide, and not to far at all from where you live, work, from the beginning of time. Maybe try looking at Walmart and see what the 1% can do, between them and Amazon American retail and ma and pa shops are becoming extinct. Corporate welfare and tax havens exacerbate the growing inequality that creates more worldwide poverty.
