My broker was taking money out of his calls and putting it into the leaps. Not a bad strategy. Jan calls are somewhat orphaned because of Feb 5 launch. It seems like they don't have much time value. People are probably taking profits. I intend to hold my Apr 12.5s for exercise.

Geoff...As of right now, the launch is still on schedule. Haven't seen anything that would indicate otherwise. I would be guessing 'bout the recent sell off. But it sure is a good time to stock up on your holiday favorites though. Merry X-mas ya'll. We're in for one hell of a ride next year. Don.
P.S. I'll double check with some of the guys at work to see if they have herd(sp) anything.

It may be that recent buyers of G* at higher prices are using the weakness to sell and establish capital losses for the year. Selling may be smart for tax reasons, but risky in case the stock shoots up before they've reestablished their positions. They must wait 30 days before buying back in, or they lose their capital loss deduction ("wash sale" rule).
