Good afternoon Steve, I had an opportunity to talk with Dr. Long this afternoon and I asked him if he could give me some insight into comparing this property with other such properties in the US. It turns out that currently, there are only two Titanium sand mines in the US and one is operated by Dupont. Infact, Dupont is trying to open a new mine in Georgia but is currently meeting a great deal of opposition because of environmental concerns. As you may know, the Tenn. property has been previously looked at by a number of major mining firms but for some reason or another did not have the technology to mine the property. One of these firms was BPH(or is it BHP)...the same company that is currently testing the 12 inch jig in their Reno facility. I believe that once a large mining firm publicly confirms the capabilities of the jig, then ALTIF will begin to show the value of the Tenn. property in the share price to a greater extent than exists today. According to Dr. Long, most mining firms will start to actively mine deposists that show >2% heavy minerals. According to the last PR, the Tenn. property has 285 million tonnes at 3.7%, 78 million tonnes at 4.4% and 24 million tones at 5.7%. In short, this means that we have enough tonnage to last > 30 years. This material has nearly double the content of heavy minerals that mining firms would consider valuable enough to mine. I get to >30 years by assuming 10 million tonnes of material being mined/year.(once again, a figure given to me by Dr. Long) As far as operating the mine itself, well, that is going to cost a great deal of capital and will require a joint venture. In regards to which company...your guess is as good as mine. Just remember that two possible candidates are currently testing the Jig and one is already using the new 30 inch model.(ie. Dupont) Would love to read what others have been able to find out regarding this sector as well as this technology. Sincerely, Jas
