A quick note to all cc option traders. I have traded these positions for over 7 years and have found them to be very profitable. Keep in mind that a cc is nothing more than a naked put. It frequently is more profitable to just sell naked puts than covered calls. You only have 1 commission and can frequently avoid margin interest charges. I have found that it is beneficial to ask myself if I would be willing to sell a naked put on the security in question. If I am not willing to sell a naked put I should not be willing to enter a cc position. This has frequently kept me out of difficult positions.
