Rare doesn't suggest "isn't a problem". It also doesn't suggest "is a problem". Its just stating its rare.

If you are going to make up my side to argue for me, perhaps you don't need me to actually post my side of the conversation.

As for "When we raise taxes on the wealthiest no one dies", that probably isn't actually true, unless your only considering short term direct effects.

As for cutting Social Security and Medicare that really isn't on the table. Reducing their planned future growth is, but then its sortof necessary no matter how unpopular. Well technically reducing Social Security's planned future growth isn't necessary. We could keep current law, allow the spending to go up until the nominal value of the trust fund is zero, and then suddenly impose a massive year over year cut. But for some reason I don't think many people would be happy with that result.
