Yes, I'm very familiar with his history, he told me himself personally on several occasions, NYMA is a small school, everyone knew everyone else... and there was lots more than just "wearing a uniform" and drills, there was drill with a rifle every day for hours, lots of physical training, I played defensive tackle on the football team while I was there, and every Sunday the parents would come to the school and we would put on a huge parade with a really great marching band, we also had one cadet company on horseback, they looked like the cavalry riding onto the parade field... it was beautiful and really nice... I look back to that school and my experiences there with genuine fondness...

Anyhow, my points is that for you or anyone to choose against a Presidential candidate because a lifetime ago they were naughty in elementary school is nonsensical and absurd... that was my point, apparently you missed it or I didn't make myself clear...

Also, by the way, he didn't try to get any military deferment, he wanted to enlist but he had a medical problem, still does, with heel spurs, he still has that problem today... when I went to basic training in the Army, it was a picnic compared to military school... NYMA's primary focus is on discipline and leadership development... and you can be sure anyone who graduated from NYMA is a leader in business or whatever that person does...
