No, not fishy. Just very, very strange. All the emails came from Amazon. I thought all purchases went through Amazon, that no third party seller was paid directly. I still think that.

I made three purchases that day, only one through a third party seller. I've made two purchases since that day and all went through, though none were through a third party seller. All purchases are marked as being shipped.

I think Amazon's customer service representative gave me bad information because if Amazon is the first party being paid, the third party's preference shouldn't even come into consideration. I received an email from the seller and he/they told me to take it up with Amazon, which makes sense.

I've cancelled the order and it still remains a mystery.
