It would appear that many leftists believe that the First Amendment reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof **, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

** (unless the citizen exercising her religious beliefs has been divorced, or otherwise had a checkered past before becoming a Christian)

And yet these same leftists do not even demand that their own leadership be honest, and they turn a blind eye to blatant and repeated felonious and treasonous acts on the part of that leadership.

Go find another straw man argument. No rational person is taking this one seriously.

You know what real hypocrisy is?

Al Gore, screaming and whining that the world is coming to an end if we don't reduce our carbon footprint, while owning a massive mansion that consumes 10 times the average Americans carbon footprint.

Hillary Clinton, the biggest flip-flopper in political history. She was against same sex marriage, until 2 years ago, when she was suddenly for it. Same with Barack Hussein Obama. Oh, I forgot, they "evolved" as soon as their base said it was ok to evolve.

Barack Obama, who kicked children out of the D.C. private school voucher program and forced them to attend the most miserable failing schools in the country, while he sent his two darlings to the most expensive private schools in D.C. Now, seven years later, it's too late for the kids and parents in D.C. he screwed over, their children will be mired for the rest of their life with that lousy public education he would never send his kids to.

Doomed to failure, cont’d
Power Line by Scott Johnson

President Obama spoke before the United Nations General Assembly today (video below, transcript here). The video runs about 43 minutes. Listening to it, I would have estimated a Castroite 4 hours and 43 minutes. It is excruciating. The tone is professorial, patronizing, obnoxious, and unmanly. Obama challenged, and was followed by, Vladimir Putin. Putting the merits of their presentations to one side, the contrast was not to Obama’s advantage.

At the United Nations Obama hectors his adversaries and carries a microscopic stick. He is the un-Teddy Roosevelt. His adversaries have him sized up correctly for a patsy. Obama’s take on the international order, such as it is, is a left-wing fantasy. On the world stage he is a loser.

He deepens the vacuity of empty words: “I stand before you today believing in my core that we, the nations of the world, cannot return to the old ways of conflict and coercion. We cannot look backwards.” Heavy, man. Pass the bong!

The heaviness continues with Obama’s pitiful deflection of blame for the course of events in Iraq followed by this preface to bragging about his cave-in to Iran...
