Alex, Christine, and All,

Reminds me of when the 55 mph speed limit went into effect on New Year 1973 or 1974 and I was driving on the freeway. At midnight, all the cars slowed to 55 mph and immediately went to the two far right-hand lanes, such had we California freeway veterans been indoctrinated with slower traffic keeping to the two far right-hand lanes. The three left-hand lanes of the freeway were totally empty of cars! This went on for about 20 minutes, with no one venturing to the left-hand lanes. Finally one car broke ranks and headed for the extreme left-hand lane and others followed. But for a while there, all of the cars stayed in the two right-hand lanes. I wish we'd had video cameras then.

Yes, Alex. Get you hooked on Federal bucks, then threaten to cut you off. This is another indirect way the government sidesteps the constitution. The lawsuit way I mentioned earlier is equally despicable. I guess I am in a bit of a govenment bashing mood lately. More later when I tee off on both the Repubs and the Dems and their pernicious effects on the health care system.
